Here at USA Medical Services, we provide the Surgical Assistant an opportunity to work with a wide variety of surgeons in various specialties. Our Surgical Assistants only perform first assist duties in the operating room and do not partake in clinical work or hospital rounds.

We are a medical practice that specializes in surgical services. If your experience is in a venue other than surgery, you do not match our hiring criteria. The surgeons who utilize our services require this level of experience and expertise.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid State License as a: Physician Assistant, Physician (M.D. or D.O.), or an ARNP
• Valid NCCPA Certification (if applicable)

• Current AAPA Membership (if applicable)
• 3 to 5 years of recent surgical first assist experience or equivalent
• Proficient experience and skills assisting with at least half of the following fields: General, Vascular, Orthopaedics, Cardio-Thoracic, OB/GYN, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Plastics
• Active/Current Hepatitis vaccination
• BLS/CPR Certification
